SWINDON and Eastbourne will have to battle it out again after their Elite League meeting at Arlington was abandoned because of rain.

Six heats had been raced when the heavens opened and with the track left in a saturated state there was no chance of racing continuing.

The Robins were without a number of their regular stars and trailed 24-12 to the hosts at the time of the stoppage.

Guest replacements Darcy Ward and Troy Batchelor had managed to win a couple of early races for Swindon before a halt was called to the evening’s action, but the only real winner on the night was the Sussex weather.
