JAN Staechmann described Swindon’s 63-27 defeat at Peterborough on Monday as ‘embarrassing’.
The Robins boss, who replaced Ronnie Russell in the Robins hot seat, could only watch in disbelief as his side were outclassed in every department at the East of England Showground.
Simon Stead (7+1) and Nicolai Klindt (7), were top scorers for the Blunsdon outfit on a night to forget against the play-off chasing Panthers.
Said Staechmann: “I am honestly lost for words after seeing that performance.
“It was embarrassing. Everyone battled but it was one of those nights when it just wasn’t happening for us.
“But now it’s a case of onwards and upwards and we have to try and forget about this as quickly as possible.â€
