ROBINS boss Alun Rossiter had no complaints about the result after seeing his side thumped 55-38 at Peterborough.

And Rossiter refused to offer any excuses for the performance as the league leaders were outclassed at the East of England Showground.

Troy Batchelor was top Swindon scorer with 12 – but six of those were from a tactical ride on double points – and Jason Doyle rode hard for his 9-points.

It was a poor performance form the Blunsdon boys and Rossiter was spotted locked in talks with club co-owner Gary Patchett after the meeting.

He said: “No excuses from me, we have been beaten by a better side and well done to Peterborough.

“It’s one of those meetings which can be termed as a bad day at the office and it’s not a total disaster, it just reminds us that we have a lot of work to do to realise our ambitions.

“Peterborough rode very well and were the better team. I cannot say much more than that, but obviously I’m bitterly disappointed and so is Gary.”

Robins failed to recover from a woeful start which saw them go 16-8 down after four races as Peterborough, with Danish duo Michael Jepsen Jensen and Kenneth Bjerre in blistering form, dominated.

They gained a 7-2 from the tactical ride in Heat 7 followed by a 5-1 to give them hope at 27-24 but the home side struck back and went on to claim three league points.
