HANS Andersen romped to an immaculate 15-point maximum to inspire reigning champions Swindon to a 54-36 win over Peterborough at the Abbey.

Andersen, in his second season with the Excalibur Communications Robins, was simply unstoppable but he received good support from his colleagues.

And although Peterborough were able to stay in contention for a big part of the meeting, Alun Rossiter's Robins were always favourites to claim the win.

Troy Batchelor fell in one of his outings and Peter Kildemand was hit by bike trouble early on but these were small blips on an otherwise brilliant night for the home side who are top of the table with nine points from three meetings.

Andersen raced to victory in Heat 15 over fellow Dane Kenneth Bjerre to complete his full house and celebrate a third Elite League win in succession for the Blunsdon boys.

Manager Alun Rossiter said: “Hans is back to his best, I think we can say that officially.

“He was brilliant, nobody could stop him, it was the complete performance from him. His starts were perfect.

“He deserves great credit, he’s enjoying his racing too which is great and that certainly helps.

“I’m delighted with the win and it’s good to have three wins in the bag already.”
