ROBINS 54 WOLVERHAMPTON 38

Thursday July 11, 2013
DANISH star Peter Kildemand stormed to a 15-point maximum as Swindon romped to a comprehensive 54-38 victory over table-topping Wolverhampton at the Abbey.

Having recorded four 5-1s in the opening five races, the Excalibur Robins never looked back as they put in a rampant display to move to within five points of top spot with matches in hand on Wolves.

And team boss Alun Rossiter was delighted with a powerful performance following a frustrating few weeks.
He said: “We've had the bit between our teeth since a lacklustre performance against Birmingham.

“We had a good win at Belle Vue on Monday and that was a top performance from the boys who were really fired up tonight.

“Peter Kildemand was absolutely sensational for us, and I think that was a little reminder to the Danish team manager after he was overlooked for the World Cup."

Although it was Kildemand who stole the show with a magnificent display, there were several encouraging performances throughout the side.

Troy Batchelor and guesting No.1 Jason Doyle both offered excellent support to the Dane, whilst Eddie Kennett starting the meeting superbly to post a solid return.

Aussie ace Nick Morris took two fine race wins, whilst Ashley Birks continues to show drastic improvement down at reserve.

Youngster Kyle Howarth also enjoyed a good paid win in his opening ride as he showed plenty of promise on his home debut.

SWINDON 54: Peter Kildemand 15, Troy Batchelor 11+1, Jason Doyle 8+1, Ashley Birks 8, Nick Morris 6+1, Edward Kennett 4+2, Kyle Howarth 2+1

WOLVERHAMPTON 38: Tai Woffinden 12, Adam Skornicki 9+1, Ludvig Lindgren 6+4, Jacob Thorssell 5+1, Ricky Wells 4, Scott Nicholls 2, Ty Proctor R/R
