ROBINS 60 BELLE VUE 33

Thursday July 25, 2013
SWINDON moved top of the Elite League table as they stormed to a 60-33 victory over Belle Vue at the Abbey.

The Excalibur Robins were back to their rampant best as they took comprehensive victory to move above league leaders Wolverhampton on points difference.

Stand-in captain Troy Batchelor led the home side with a faultless paid maximum, whilst Nick Morris also continued his flying form - suffering just one defeat on his way to 13+1.

And team boss Alun Rossiter heaped praise on the Aussie duo following another powerful team display.

Said Rossiter: "It was an absolutely outstanding performance, and everybody did a great job.

"Troy put in a real captains performance - once again he raised the bar when he was made captain, and he is really maturing at the moment. I have nothing but praise for Troy right now.

"Obviously I'm really pleased for young Nick Morris as well. He had another great night, and he has been riding really well the last couple of weeks."

Although Batchelor and Morris were the star duo, the entire top five made double figures in what was a tremendous all-around performance.
Peter Kildemand and Eddie Kennett reignited their middle order partnership - bagging two 5-1s as both put in excellent displays.

Club asset Jason Doyle performed admirably at No.1 as he replaced Hans Andersen, whilst young reserve Kyle Howarth also notched two race wins - one of them paid - at reserve as Swindon romped to a comfortable win.

Swindon 60: Nick Morris 13+1, Jason Doyle 11+3, Troy Batchelor 11+1, Edward Kennett 10+1, Peter Kildemand 9+2, Kyle Howarth 5+1, Ashley Birks 1

Belle Vue 33: Josh Grajczonek 8+2, Matej Zagar 8, Magnus Zetterstrom 7+1, Lasse Bjerre 5, Kevin Wolbert 3, Ales Dryml 2, Craig Cook R/R
