SWINDON stunned Belle Vue with a dramatic display to pull off a 49-41 win at Belle Vue - and at the same time announced their return to the play-off race.
Grand Prix star Troy Batchelor and brilliant reserve Steve Worrall topped the Robins' scorechart with 11, but this was a solid all-round display from Alun Rossiter's man to claim all four league points on offer.
Batchelor teamed up with Peter Kildemand for a brilliant last gasp 5-1 to hand Swindon the points - a 5-1 to the Aces would have seen them draw the match.
With just three heats remaining the scores were level in a tense battle - but Rossiter had his side pumped for the points.
"It was a great win tonight and a full team effort from the boys," he said.
"Nathan Greaves, Steve Worrall, all of them had good nights. Nick didn't have the best of night's but he's taken two steps back to take three forward as he's got a new mechanic. You'll see a different Nick Morris soon I'm sure of that.
"Special praise goes to Peter Kildemand, he's got up and got on a plane this morning from Russia and that's commitment.
"In my mind I thought we would struggle tonight because Belle Vue are so good but we all chipped in and all the boys did a good job."
