COVENTRY 49 ROBINS 41
Monday September 29, 2014
ALUN Rossiter says it's down to his riders to show the desire to book their place in the Elite League play-off final.
The Robins head into the second leg of their semi-final with Coventry 49-41 down after an entertaining meeting at Brandon.
Now manager Rossiter wants to see his side race with passion and desire - and he's urging fans to back the bid for a shot at the title.
He said: "We've held on and given ourselves a chance, it could have been better but it could have been worse.
"I was disappointed in some areas of the performance but pleased with others. Eight points makes it very interesting.
"It's down to the riders now to show us how much they want it and we need the backing of the fans too - next Monday will be a special night."
Skipper Troy Batchelor is relishing the prospect of racing back on home shale.
He said: "We beat them comfortably last time at our track but I'm sure it will be a different story next week.
"Eight points is an interesting margin, I'm confident we can turn that around at our track but it will be tough.
"Coventry have riders who are riding a little better now so it should be a great night of racing."
