ROBINS 60 WOLVERHAMPTON 32

Thursday July 02, 2015
SWINDON romped to an important 60-32 win against Wolverhampton at The Abbey on Thursday.

The victory moved the Robins to within three league points of fourth placed Belle Vue; and the Blunsdon outfit have three meetings in-hand over the Aces.

It was a totally dominant display from Alun Rossiter's men who suffered just three last places all night as they registered their biggest win of the season so far.

A delighted Rossiter said: "We were very poor at Leicester on Monday but all the boys picked themselves back up and got the job done.

"It was great to get Lewis Rose firing tonight too; Troy lent him an engine and he was certainly much more on the pace.

"It was a great night of speedway on a beautiful evening and we managed to get a super result too!"

Grzegorz Zengota continued his remarkable, recent run of form, racing to a full four ride maximum.

Batchelor and Howarth combined well at No.1 and 2 respectively, both scoring ten-points a-piece.

Charles Wright continued to impress at reserve while Hans Andersen proved to be a popular guest as ever at The Abbey and rode some, really tough individual rides.

Lewis Rose enjoyed his best performance of the season while Nick Morris had a mixed night on his return from a nasty knock picked up in the Premier League on Tuesday.

SWINDON 60: Grzegorz Zengota 12, Troy Batchelor 10+3, Kyle Howarth 10+1, Charles Wright 8+3, Hans Andersen 8+2, Lewis Rose 6+1, Nick Morris 6.

WOLVERHAMPTON 32: Ricky Wells 13+1, Peter Karlsson 6, Tobiasz Musielak 4, Jacob Thorssell 4, Freddie Lindgren 3, Lewis Blackbird 1+1, Josh Bates 1.
