SWINDON can take another big step towards the Premiership Supporters’ Cup Final when they head to King’s Lynn on Monday (7.30).

Alun Rossiter’s Robins, backed by CFS Filtration, need to claim a point at least from the long journey to Norfolk to keep them in the driving seat and on course for a clash with Belle Vue in the inaugural year of the competition.

Rossiter admits it will be a tough test at the Adrian Flux Arena but his riders are up for the challenge.

“King’s Lynn are always a tough side to beat on their own track and that will be the case on Monday,” he said.

“But we have a team of riders who have made a good start to the season, we keep picking up points on the road and we’re looking to do the same on Monday.”

Rossiter has also added his congratulations to youngster Zach Wajtknecht after his silver medal in the British Under 21 Final at Berwick, pipped to the post by World Pairs star Robert Lambert ironically of King’s Lynn.

“It’s a great achievement for Zach and as a club we congratulate him,” he said. “Also we congratulate Robert on a third title, but it’s his time to move on and let someone else have a go now!”

Swindon are also reminding fans of a two-for-one advance admission offer for their BT Sport clash with Peterborough on Monday week at the Abbey (May 6).

Fans should go to to take advantage of the offer.
