SWINDON face the busiest day of their season on Bank Holiday Monday – with seven Premiership points up for grabs.

The CFS Filtration Robins travel to Wimborne Road to face big rivals Poole at midday, before both sides return to the Abbey Stadium to meet again at 7.30pm.

Robins had the better of the Easter clashes in the Premiership Supporters’ Cup, with the first home meeting on their new track finishing all square before they took a big win in Dorset on Good Friday.

But the Pirates have gradually built momentum over the last month, and have pulled off a number of late comebacks, especially in away matches.

Swindon hand a debut to new signing Ellis Perks, who continues to rack up the points at Championship level with a 15+1 haul from seven rides for Leicester on Saturday.

Meanwhile in the top five, Polish star Tobiasz Musielak returns after missing last Monday’s defeat at Belle Vue due to a shoulder injury.

Poole have been hit by a major blow with the absence of the in-form Brady Kurtz, who suffered shoulder damage in a crash at Peterborough on Thursday.

Kurtz broke the Abbey track record when guesting for the Robins earlier this month, but is unable to race on Monday, with the Pirates calling up Ipswich’s Richard Lawson to guest in their home fixture, whilst they will operate rider-replacement at Swindon.

Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: “I’m sure Poole will be wounded after our big win there in the Cup, and so we need to be on our guard.

“It’s obvious from their results that they have improved as a team since then, and I’m sure Matt (Ford) will have them fired up.

“But we’ve proved we can get the better of them, we just have to be aware of what a threat they can be.

“It’s good to have Ellis with us, we just need a few extra points in that position and hopefully he’ll be able to provide them.”

SWINDON: Jason Doyle, Dawid Lampart, Tobiasz Musielak, Adam Ellis, Troy Batchelor, Zach Wajtknecht, Ellis Perks.
POOLE: Jack Holder, Richie Worrall, Nicolai Klindt, Josh Grajczonek, Richard Lawson (at Poole)/Brady Kurtz R/R (at Swindon), Nico Covatti, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen.
