SWINDON launch a hectic spell of fixtures throughout August when they face Wolverhampton at the Abbey on Thursday (7.30).

Alun Rossiter’s men have seven crucial Premiership meetings this month – four of them at home.

And they know they have to make home meetings count in the battle to secure a top four finish.

Star signing Rasmus Jensen, an astute addition to the team, is well and truly up for the challenge.

“We need to pick ourselves up, in away meetings for sure. We have been fairly good at home so points on the road are really important now,” said Jensen.

“Things are looking better and better, with Claus Vissing coming into the team it means we have two good reserves and that should help us get to where we want to be.

“We need to keep things ticking over at home and that’s what we’ll be looking at doing against Wolverhampton.”

Both sides are at full strength and Wolverhampton include former Abbey favourite Nick Morris who was a hero of Swindon’s 2017 title winning team – ironically against Wolves!

They also have newly crowned Swedish champion Jacob Thorssell who will appear in next weekend’s Scandinavian Grand Prix along with CFS Filtration Robins skipper Jason Doyle.

The full Rasmus Jensen interview appears in the Swindon programme, available on entry to the stadium for £3.

SWINDON: Jason Doyle, Adam Ellis, Tobiasz Musielak, Rasmus Jensen, Troy Batchelor, Ellis Perks, Claus Vissing.
