SWINDON head to Ipswich for their latest Premiership road trip on Thursday – and boss Alun Rossiter insists one away win could make their season.

Rossiter saw his CFS Filtration Robins bravely rescue a point from Monday’s trip to Belle Vue but now wants to go one better.

They are in the middle of a run of three straight away meetings before returning to the Abbey against reigning champions Poole next Thursday (August 22).

And Rossiter said: “In the end a point was a good result from Belle Vue but we need to pick up an away win somewhere and that could really make our season.

“If we can keep picking up points away from home and get three points from home meetings then we won’t be far off our target of reaching the play-offs – and once there we all know anything can happen!

“Ipswich are a good side, they’ve surprised a few this season and full credit to them. They have a group of riders who work hard together and are solid throughout.”

Swindon will again be without Claus Vissing through suspension – he will be available again for next Thursday – and they have called on Berwick’s popular racer Kevin Doolan.

Doolan has vast experience having raced in the UK for many years and is sure to give his all.

Ipswich, meanwhile, have drafted in former favourite Nico Covatti as a guest replacement for Edward Kennett who is also suspended.

IPSWICH: Chris Harris, Cameron Heeps, Danny King, Jake Allen, Richard Lawson, Krystian Pieszczek, Nico Covatti.
SWINDON: Jason Doyle, Adam Ellis, Rasmus Jensen, Tobiasz Musielak, Troy Batchelor, Ellis Perks, Kevin Doolan.
