SWINDON promoters Alun Rossiter and Lee Kilby took the club’s two major trophies to the County Ground on Saturday.

The CFS Filtration Robins bosses were guests of honour at Swindon Town’s League Two clash with Walsall – a game the hosts won 2-1 to move into the automatic promotion places.

Despite atrocious weather conditions on the day, Rossiter and Kilby received a terrific reception as they showed off the Premiership and Supporters’ Cup trophies to the crowd.

They also got to meet Man of the Match Anthony Grant after the game, along with Martin Palmer of Town’s shirt sponsor Imagine Cruising.

Kilby said: “Rosco and I were guests of Imagine Cruising and Swindon Town FC on a rain-soaked, windswept afternoon!

“We received a great ovation on the pitch pre-match from the Town fans in recognition of the Robins’ efforts in winning the double.”
The visit to the County Ground followed on from the hugely successful end-of-season celebration on Friday, when the Robins riders were honoured for their magnificent campaign.

But the work is far from over for club bosses, whose plans for the defence of their trophies will step up later this month.

Rossiter and Kilby are set to attend the BSPA AGM in Coventry next week, with that meeting set to determine league structures and team-building regulations for the 2020 season.
