ADAM Ellis is back with Swindon for the defence of their league and cup double.

The talented British racer played a major role in the success of the CFS Filtration Robins and his return for a fourth successive is no major surprise.

It means he joins Jason Doyle, Troy Batchelor, Rasmus Jensen and Ellis Perks from the class of 2019 with only two team changes.

He said: “I wasn’t planning on going anywhere else, I wanted to stay at Swindon from the word go.

“We had to wait until the AGM, but it was an easy call to return – there was no umming or arrhing about the situation or second thoughts.

“I couldn’t see myself riding anywhere else to be honest. It’s great to be back.

“Last season was amazing, winning the double, and the challenge is to try and repeat it, but that’s easier said than done!

“The team is looking great and I’m pleased to be back ready to play my part.”

Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: “Adam did well for us last season but there is still more to come from him.

“He’s a classy rider and I know he can still add to his average. I’m pleased that five of the season double winners are back with us.”

Swindon’s completed line-up now reads: Jason Doyle, Troy Batchelor, Rasmus Jensen, Adam Ellis, Ellis Perks, Anders Rowe, Jordan Stewart.
