SKIPPER DOYLE HEADS TO POLAND

Friday May 01, 2020
SWINDON skipper Jason Doyle has agreed a deal to race with Czestochowa in the Polish League behind closed doors – starting next month.

And CFS Filtration Robins bosses have backed the move with uncertainty over when the UK season can start.

The move means Doyle must be based in Poland alongside team mates Leon Madsen of Denmark and Fredrik Lindgren from Sweden for the short term - which means his availability for Swindon could be restricted when the club are given the green light to start.

Club co-promoter Lee Kilby said: “Jason has been up front and honest with us from day one regarding the situation in Poland.

“We knew he wanted to race in Poland if the deal was right for him, and we're pleased he has reached an agreement to race.

“It's his livelihood and we respect his decision to head to Poland to essentially live and race for the immediate future.

“It is a big ask for him to move away from his family, especially as he and the other riders committing to Poland have no idea how long the current travel restrictions will be in place.

“At this stage we can't guarantee him a start date for UK racing so we fully support his decision.

“As I've said before we'll remain positive, be as pro-active as possible and keep everybody in the loop where we can in the hope we can see Jason in Swindon colours when the time is right.â€Â
