WE are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of popular track staff member Derek Hayward.

Derek worked on bends three and four over the last four years and was also a member of the track staff at Cardiff for the British Grand Prix.

Robins co-promoter Lee Kilby said: “His infectious laugh and easy going character made him a joy to work with and we will all miss him terribly.”

Everyone at Swindon Speedway sends deepest condolences to Derek’s family at this extremely sad and difficult time.
