SWINDON moved to top spot in the Sky Sports Elite league after notching a commanding twenty five point victory against Belle Vue.

The Robins held the ascendancy throughout and provided race winners in fourteen of the fifteen heats. Simon Stead registered a fantastically acquired paid fifteen point maximum and the British International rode with confidence and flair throughout.

Robins’ captain Leigh Adams collected a flawless four ride full maximum whilst Troy Batchelor amassed d a paid twelve point score.

Whilst the top five contributed as a characteristically performance, it was from the reserve berths that Swindon really excelled.

Both Cory Gathercole and Krzysztof Stojanowski enjoyed nights to member providing the Blunsdon faithful with excitement throughout.

The in form Gathercole acquired a well deserved eight pioint haul while the tenacious Stojanowski, a firm fans favourite, collected two paid wins en route to a popular paid eight contribution.

Indeed, the Pole inflicted defeat on compatriot and Polish International Krzysztof Kasprzak in what was a fabulous heat eleven.

Belle Vue’s score chart was headed by former Swindon favourite Charlie Gjedde whose eight point score included a solitary race victory in heat three. Support was lacking for the Dane as tactical rides for Krzysztof Kasprzak and Patrick Hougaard failed to reap rewards for the Manchester septet.

The result means Swindon now nurture a three point advantage at the top of the Sky Sports Elite league as Alun Rossiter's side embark on a hectic month of on track action in May.
