Lakeside’s strength in depth and Purfleet raceway track craft prevailed as Swindon, aside from Leigh Adams and Juric Pavlic, contributed a disappointing performance in Essex. The Adams/Pavlic combination amassed thirty two of Swindon’s eventual fourty two points score and the impressive duo were the only Robins’ riders to register heat wins.

Lakeside led throughout and after the conclusion of heat nine had constructed a fourteen point lead. Tactical rides in heats ten and eleven saw Swindon reduce the home side’s lead to seven points, but the Hammers notched heat advantages in two of the concluding four heats to seal overall victory and secure all Elite league points on offer.

Swindon score chart was headed by Leigh Adams who notched a nineteen point haul from his six ride schedule. The Australian’s bumper score included a heat twelve tactical ride and three other race wins. Adams received solid support from Jurica Pavlic who once again demonstrated his excellence around Lakeside’s technical circuit. The Croatian’s paid fourteen points score was excellently acquired.

Travis McGowan registered a paid five point score whilst Simon Stead collected four.

Lakeside were well served by Swedish International Jonas Davidsson who romped to a well deserved paid fifteen point maximum. Eye catching scores from the Hammers’ reserve pairing of Stuart Robson and Robert Mear also played a crucial role in their victory.
